Welcome to the FinOps Foundation's New York group! Stop by and (digitally) meet some neighbors who are actively working to save money in the cloud (or hope to be soon). What is FinOps, you ask? From the FinOps.org website: FinOps is the operating model for the cloud, which is resulting in a shift that combines systems, best practices and culture to increase an organization’s ability to understand cloud costs and make informed business decisions. FinOps increases the business value of cloud by bringing together technology, business and finance professionals with a new set of practices and standards around cloud financial management. --- Did you miss the FinOps X conference in June? If so, then you missed the day two Lightning Talks. These were both extremely interesting and also NOT recorded.
I'm going to do my best to pull together a few of those presenters to bring their 10-minute talks to our meetup. This will also give us a chance to ask questions and discuss each topic — something that we were not able to do at the actual conference.
