Welcome to the FinOps Foundation's New York group! Stop by and (digitally) meet some neighbors who are actively working to save money in the cloud (or hope to be soon). What is FinOps, you ask? From the FinOps.org website: FinOps is the operating model for the cloud, which is resulting in a shift that combines systems, best practices and culture to increase an organization’s ability to understand cloud costs and make informed business decisions. FinOps increases the business value of cloud by bringing together technology, business and finance professionals with a new set of practices and standards around cloud financial management. Agenda: 7:00 - Introductions 7:15 - BYOT (Bring Your Own Topic) 7:45 - Questions 8-8:30 - Open discussion/Networking This month is an BYOT meetup. That means there will not be any presentations, and you're encouraged to Bring Your Own Topic to the event. These themes are some of my favorites, as the discussion is usually lively and really informative. If you haven't come to one of our meetups before, this is a great one to attend!
